Borneo Coaches at 2017 USL Experience

Fury’s own Director of Coaching, Kernell Borneo, traveled to San Antonio, Texas as one of six Super Y coaches selected for the prestigious USL Experience March 30-April 2.
The annual USL Experience serves to highlight the top players and coaches in the Super Y League, while also providing some of the highest-level youth competition in North America. The USL Experience delivers a unique look into professional North American soccer, as the elite player program offers players the opportunity to train and compete like a pro, interact with professional players and coaching staff, receive access to professional training facilities and participate in a professional media day experience. There were 72 players, representing the top 1 percent of the Super Y League, in attendance.

“By far this has been my best soccer experience in the US yet! I have had some great soccer experiences overseas and have always felt that the US cannot replicate or create a true soccer environment or feeling like the experiences I have had overseas. However my experience at San Antonia FC this past weekend was epic!” Borneo said.
Borneo also praised the San Antonio FC coaching staff, their administrators and the players for creating a very professional environment for the coaches and players who took part in the experience.
“Having the opportunity to tour the stadium, take part in the activities, and being a part of the entire set up for the weekend was awesome,” he said.
